Chainlink Leads Without the Market, Zcash Loses Its Floor, Hedera Needs a Second Day
Tuesday's read after a lopsided Monday: LINK broke to a 2026 high on heavy volume while 49 of 57 coins fell, ZEC has dropped through the range that held for ten days, and HBAR's 27% jump now has to show it was more than one session.
LINK/USD · Chainlink — Bullish, Swing (1-4 weeks). LINK closed Monday at $15.45, its highest close since November 2025, and printed a 2026 high of $15.78 early on Tuesday. The breakout came on about $126 million of volume, three times its two-week average, and on a day when the median large coin fell 4.7%. Strength against a falling market theoretically points to demand specific to the asset rather than a rising tide, and the structure since the June 6 low of $7.00 is a clean series of higher lows. Caveat: Tuesday's pullback to about $14.80 is already giving part of the move back. A daily close below $14.10, the area where Monday's breakout started, would suggest the breakout has failed.
ZEC/USD · Zcash — Bearish, Short-term (days). From September 18 to 28, ZEC's daily lows held between about $1,422 and $1,476 while the price swung 8-14% a day, a floor that absorbed every sell-off. Tuesday's drop to $1,356 went through it after three straight lower closes from Saturday's $1,698 peak. Theoretically, a broken range floor often turns into resistance on the way back up. The next reference below is the $1,327-$1,338 area from September 16-17. Risk: ZEC's daily ranges are wide enough to reclaim a level in hours. A daily close back above $1,480 would invalidate this read.
HBAR/USD · Hedera — Neutral, Short-term (days). HBAR rose 27% on Monday on about $200 million of volume, twelve times its recent average and the most in more than a year. Volume spikes of that size tend to mark either the start of a new range or the most crowded point of a move, and one session isn't enough to tell which. Theoretically, the test is whether it holds the area where the breakout began. Holding above roughly $0.108, the close of Monday's 08:00 UTC breakout hour, and building a range under the $0.131 high would favour continuation; a drop back below $0.10 would leave most of Monday's buyers under water. At about $0.119, it sits in between.
