Worldcoin Rallies Through the June Crash (2026)
Between May 29 and June 4, 2026, WLD rose from $0.28 to $0.63, up 125%, while Bitcoin fell as much as 18% and much of the market crashed. Then came hourly swings of 9-11% in both directions.
Worldcoin is the project behind World ID, a system that uses iris-scanning devices to prove that an online account belongs to a unique human, and WLD is its token. In late May 2026 it was already recovering from its 2026 low of $0.2267, set on May 17. This replay opens on May 29, the day after a sharp 17.5% drop; the window's low, $0.2801, came in the very first hour.
What makes the following week unusual is what the rest of the market was doing. Between June 1 and June 5, Bitcoin fell from about $73,700 to below $59,200, and many altcoins lost far more; Zcash, for example, dropped more than 60% in about two days. WLD went the other way. It jumped 25% on June 1 on $120 million of trading, slipped 12.6% on June 2, then surged 41.6% on June 3 on $166 million, on a day when Bitcoin lost 3.9%.
The peak came on June 4, at $0.6317 in the 17:00 UTC hour, 125% above the window's low. It was the busiest day of the run, with $272 million traded, and the most violent: the hours from 14:00 and 15:00 UTC added 9.1% and 8.6% back to back, and then the peak hour itself closed 9.0% below its open. Over that one day the price covered everything from $0.458 to $0.632.
From there the chart became a sequence of large hourly moves in both directions. At 02:00 UTC on June 5, as the broad market was hitting its lows, WLD fell 11.3% in a single hour. On June 6 another 9.7% hour pushed it down to $0.39, 38% below the peak of two days earlier. Then it rebounded again, with gains of 8.6% in the 01:00 UTC hour and 9.5% at 14:00 UTC on June 7, closing that day at $0.472.
The replay ends on June 8. The swings didn't stop there: WLD went on to set a 2026 high of $0.7229 on June 17, then gave most of it back, trading below $0.40 by early July and around $0.30 in early August. Rising against a falling market can be a sign of genuine strength. It can also mean an asset is being driven by its own flows, and those can reverse just as independently.
