Tellor's 24-Hour Round Trip: From $20.53 to $23.60 and Back Below the Start (October 2026)

Oracle token TRB climbed steadily to $23.60 on October 6, 2026, closing at its highest level since April, then gave back the entire gain the next day. Relive a full round trip, from the first leg up to a close below the starting price.

Tellor is an oracle network: it delivers outside data, such as prices, to blockchains, using reporters who stake its TRB token and can lose it if their data is disputed successfully. Through late September 2026, TRB traded quietly between about $18.30 and $22, on $1-5 million a day.

October 6 was a steady climb rather than a spike. TRB opened at $20.53, gained 4.6% in the 10:00 UTC hour and 4.0% in the 14:00 UTC hour, and kept rising through the US session. It reached $23.60 in the 18:00 UTC hour, about 15% above the open, and closed at $22.87, up 11.4%, its highest close since April 16. Volume was $12.0 million, about seven times normal, as other small oracle tokens such as API3 and Band Protocol also jumped.

The reversal started almost immediately. After midnight, the 01:00 and 02:00 UTC hours fell 3.3% and 3.9%, taking TRB to $20.15. The rest of October 7 was a gradual decline, and TRB closed at $19.92, down 12.90% — below the $20.53 price at which the rally had started. Early on October 8 it slipped to $19.29.

Round trips like this are worth studying because the rally itself looked healthy: steady gains, no single crazy candle, rising volume. What gave it away was the follow-through. Volume on October 7 fell to $5.5 million, less than half of the day before, and after the overnight drop TRB never traded above $21.41 again that day. When buyers disappear the day after a breakout, the breakout level is the first thing to watch — and TRB went straight through it.
