Starknet's Reversal: −31% in a Day After a 164% Run (October 2026)

Starknet's STRK more than doubled between October 8 and 11, 2026, then lost 31% on October 12 in a series of waves, while the rest of the layer-2 sector fell with it. Relive the turn from the last hours of the rally to the first bounce.

Starknet is a layer-2 network for Ethereum, and its STRK token led a sharp rotation into layer-2 tokens in October 2026. From a low of $0.048 on October 8, it rose 13%, 32%, 41% and 19% on four consecutive days, closing October 11 at $0.1232, its highest close since December 2025. This replay begins on the evening of October 11, near the top.

The last push came just before midnight, when STRK touched $0.1265. The first crack appeared at 02:00 UTC on October 12: a 7.1% drop to $0.1126 on $4.5 million of volume. Buyers stepped in, but STRK drifted lower through the European morning, slipping to about $0.104 by midday.

The second wave came as the US session opened, with a 7.7% drop in the 13:00 UTC hour to $0.0958. A 6.8% bounce at 17:00 UTC briefly lifted STRK back near $0.098, but it didn't hold. The final leg came late in the evening: −9.0% in the 22:00 UTC hour to $0.082. STRK closed the day at $0.08505, down 30.94%, while Arbitrum, Optimism, ZKsync and Celestia all fell 8-10%.

Watch the end of the replay: early on October 13, STRK bounced 7.4% in the 01:00 UTC hour to above $0.09. After a 164% run, a 31% reversal still leaves the token far above where it started — the question for traders is whether the old breakout area near $0.0625-$0.073 holds on the next test, or whether the whole move unwinds.
