Reserve Rights Wakes Up: RSR +62% in a 15-Minute Candle on 59 Times Normal Volume (October 2026)

Early on October 12, 2026, Reserve Rights' RSR token jumped 62% in a single fifteen-minute candle, peaked half an hour later, and spent the rest of the morning giving back part of the move. Relive one of the year's most extreme volume spikes.

Reserve Rights (RSR) is the governance and backstop token of the Reserve protocol, which issues stablecoins backed by baskets of other assets. Through late September and early October 2026, RSR traded in a narrow range between about $0.0015 and $0.0018, on less than $1 million of volume on most days.

The first hour of the replay is as quiet as a market gets: fifteen-minute candles between 03:45 and 04:30 UTC traded only a few thousand dollars each, with the price stuck around $0.00166. Then, in the 04:45 UTC candle, RSR jumped to $0.002812, closing at $0.002696 — up 62% — on $4.1 million of volume.

The next candle traded almost as much ($3.5 million) but went nowhere, closing flat. The peak came in the 05:15 UTC candle at $0.002999, 81% above the starting price, but that candle closed 7.2% lower at $0.002501 — a long upper wick showing that sellers were waiting above $0.0028. The 05:30 UTC candle fell another 3.7%, and RSR then settled into a $0.0024-$0.0025 range as volume faded back to a few hundred thousand dollars per candle.

RSR closed the day at $0.0022, up 32.2%, on $36.3 million of volume — about 59 times its 30-day average. Compare the volume on each candle with the price: the busiest candles came at and just after the breakout, while the peak itself came on lower volume. That divergence often marks the moment a spike runs out of new buyers.
