iExec's 90-Minute Round Trip: RLC From $0.85 to $1.488 and Back to $1.00 (October 2026)

Early on October 9, 2026, RLC jumped 75% in about an hour to $1.488, its highest price since August 2025, then fell 33% in the following hour and a quarter. Relive one of the most violent swings of a wild week, fifteen minutes at a time.

iExec is a decentralised computing network, and its RLC token had already been the most volatile name of October 2026. It doubled on October 5, touched $1.077 on October 6 before closing 31% lower, fell 8% on October 7 and rose 30% on October 8, closing at $0.8835. This replay covers the morning of October 9.

For the first hours of the replay, RLC drifted lower on small volume, slipping from about $0.92 to $0.865 by 05:30 UTC. Then the 05:45 UTC fifteen-minute candle exploded: from $0.865 to as high as $1.159, closing at $1.10, up 27.6% on $2.0 million. The next three candles added 9.0%, 10.0% and 4.0%, and in the 06:30 UTC candle RLC touched $1.488 — 75% above the 05:45 UTC low and its highest price since August 2025.

The reversal was almost as fast. The 06:45 UTC candle fell 7.0%, and after a brief pause the 07:30 UTC and 07:45 UTC candles dropped 6.4% and 10.5%, the second on $2.35 million, the heaviest selling candle of the morning. RLC hit $1.0029, a third below the peak, barely 75 minutes after the high.

What followed was a quieter range between about $1.00 and $1.14 for the rest of the morning; RLC eventually closed October 9 at $1.0346, up 17.1%. Notice how little time the market spent at the highest prices: only two candles traded above $1.40. In a move this fast, the peak is set by a few aggressive orders, and anyone who bought near it was underwater within minutes.
