iExec's Doubling Day: RLC +100% on 93 Times Its Normal Volume (October 2026)
On October 5, 2026, iExec's RLC token rose 99.7% in a single day after months of decline, then added another 20% in one hour the next morning to reach $0.92. Relive all three waves, hour by hour.
iExec runs a decentralized marketplace for computing power, with a focus on confidential computing. Its RLC token had been one of 2026's steady decliners: it fell to a yearly low of $0.243 on July 29 and was trading near $0.36 at the start of October, on average daily Binance volume of about $340,000. Nothing in the first eight hours of October 5 suggested a change.
The first wave started in the 09:00 UTC hour, when RLC rose 12% to $0.431, and extended to $0.5059 in the 10:00 UTC hour. In the 12:00 UTC hour it spiked to $0.673 on $4.2 million of volume — and faded to $0.5526 before the hour ended, leaving a long upper wick. Through the European afternoon it drifted between $0.52 and $0.61, the kind of consolidation that often ends a one-day spike.
Instead, a second wave began in the 17:00 UTC hour (+15.5% to $0.653), and the 18:00 UTC hour — the busiest of the day with nearly $5 million traded — reached $0.73. RLC set the day's high at $0.7766 in the 22:00 UTC hour and closed at $0.7276, up 99.67%, on $31.3 million of volume: roughly 93 times its 30-day average and its highest close since January 6.
Watch the start of October 6 closely. RLC dipped to $0.6759 in the 02:00 UTC hour, then jumped 20% in the 05:00 UTC hour to $0.92, its highest price since November 2025. Notice how each wave starts from a higher base than the previous one, and how the wicks get longer as the run matures — the signature of a market where new buyers keep arriving, but sellers are increasingly willing to meet them.
