Chainlink's August 2025 Rally
In just two days in early August 2025, Chainlink (LINK) surged more than 30%, part of a month-long rally that would carry the token near its yearly highs. Watch the acceleration candle by candle.
Chainlink is the most widely used "oracle" infrastructure in the crypto industry — the system that feeds thousands of decentralized applications real-world data (prices, exchange rates, sports results) that a blockchain alone cannot access. In early August 2025, the LINK token had been relatively flat for weeks, trading in a tight range around $16-17.
Within the window replayed here, LINK climbed from around $16.67 to an intraday high of $21.99 — a gain of more than 30% in just two days — sharply breaking out of that consolidation range. The move was part of a broader rally that, over the course of August, would carry the token to a monthly high of $27.87, a gain of more than 60% from the start of the month.
LINK's rally arrived amid a broader period of strength across the crypto infrastructure sector, as on-chain activity and institutional adoption of oracle technology kept growing. As often happens after such a sharp acceleration, the token spent the following weeks in a wider, more volatile range rather than continuing to climb in a straight line.
