Blur's Binance Listing and Its Post-Listing Slide (Late 2023)

NFT marketplace token BLUR spiked on its Binance debut, then spent the following three weeks grinding roughly 30% lower as the initial listing demand faded.

Blur is an NFT marketplace and aggregator that launched its BLUR token in February 2023 with one of that year's most talked-about airdrops, aimed specifically at active NFT traders rather than the broader crypto market. Binance itself didn't list BLUR for spot trading until later, on November 24, 2023 — the listing covered here, not the token's original February launch.

BLUR's opening minutes on Binance followed the familiar volatile pattern of a fresh listing: the token's earliest trades ranged as high as $0.79 against an opening reference near $0.41, before settling to a close near $0.648 by the end of the first day as real trading liquidity built up.

From that first-day level, BLUR ground gradually lower over the following three weeks, closing near $0.463 by December 13 — a decline of roughly 29%, as initial listing-driven demand faded and the token settled into whatever ongoing level actual NFT-market activity could support.

The distinction between a token's original launch and a major exchange listing it much later matters for reading price action correctly — the dramatic percentage moves covered in this specific window reflect Binance-listing dynamics, not the token's original February 2023 debut, which is a separate (and separately documented) chapter of BLUR's price history entirely.
