Aave's Climb to an Eight-Month High (September 2026)

From a $113 low in mid-September 2026, Aave climbed for two weeks to $176 — its highest since January — with the final push coming on the broad market's worst day. A study in relative strength.

On September 16, 2026, Aave bottomed near $113, in line with the weakness that had hit much of the crypto market in mid-month. From there, though, it took a different path from its peers: a steady climb, a series of higher highs, that over two weeks carried it well above $150.

The acceleration came on September 29, and the context is what makes it notable. That day most large coins fell, while Aave rose 10.6% to close near $165, after touching an intraday high of $176.28 — a price last seen in mid-January. Volume backed the move, at about $75 million, well above the recent pace. An asset that moves against its own sector deserves more attention than one simply riding the tide.

Aave is the largest decentralized lending protocol, and its token tends to lead when interest in on-chain lending and DeFi revenue returns. The caveat, though, is the one common to every multi-month high: the $165 close, about $11 below the intraday peak, means the last buyers of the day already ended it underwater. On this hourly chart you can follow the whole construction: the low, the methodical climb, and the final surge on a red-market day.
