Zcash Has Nearly Doubled in a Month and Sits Just Below Its Highest Price on Binance

ZEC is up about 90% in 30 days and hit $1,679.83 on September 23, the highest price since Binance listed it in 2019. A year ago it was trading around $55.

Zcash traded around $810 at the end of August. On September 23 it touched $1,679.83 on Binance, the highest price since the exchange listed it in March 2019. It has since eased back to about $1,537, which still leaves it up roughly 90% over 30 days.

The climb came in steps rather than as a smooth line: a jump of about 25% between the September 2 close ($815) and the September 5 open ($1,023), another push from roughly $1,164 to above $1,500 in the middle of the month, and a final leg to the September 23 peak. That day ZEC also swung from $1,679 down to $1,476, a 12% intraday range — a reminder that the volatility cuts both ways.

The longer view is even more striking. At the end of September 2025, ZEC was changing hands for about $55; the current price is around 27 times that. The first big leg of that run, in early October 2025, is now available as a Historical Replay scenario: it packed a 62% up-day, a 32% pullback and a flash crash into two weeks, all while the broader trend kept rising.

For anyone trading it now, the more relevant number might be the 8.5% pullback from last week's high. After a move of this size, a drawdown of that magnitude is routine for ZEC, which means position sizes built for Bitcoin-like volatility would be badly mismatched.
