Treasure's MAGIC Rose 146% in 27 Hours, and the Gaming-Token Trade Is Back
MAGIC climbed from $0.0665 to $0.1639 between October 9 and the early hours of October 10, its highest price since November 2025. Pixels and STEPN's GMT also rose more than 20%.
Treasure is a gaming project that began as a network of games and a marketplace on Arbitrum, with its MAGIC token used across them. For most of the past year, MAGIC drifted lower. Through late September it traded around $0.05, often on less than $500,000 a day.
On Friday, October 9, it started moving at 06:00 UTC with a 15% hour, to $0.0765. The rest of the European morning was choppy, between about $0.074 and $0.081. The decisive leg came in the US session: +9.3% at 14:00 UTC, +6.7% at 15:00 UTC, +14.8% at 16:00 UTC and +8.2% at 17:00 UTC, taking MAGIC above $0.11. It closed the day at $0.123, up 84.68%, on $33.6 million of volume, about 24 times its 30-day average and its highest close since November 19, 2025.
The rally didn't stop at midnight. In the 01:00 and 02:00 UTC hours on Saturday, MAGIC rose another 13.1% and 11.0%, with $7.4 million traded in the second of those hours, and it reached $0.1639 in the 03:00 UTC hour — 146% above Friday's open and its highest price since November 8, 2025. A few hours later it was trading around $0.153.
Other gaming tokens moved on Friday too. Pixels (PIXEL) rose 24.60% and STEPN's GMT 20.79%, each on about seven times its usual volume and each to its highest close since early June. Gaming tokens have had several sudden rallies this autumn: The Sandbox gained 54% in a day on October 2 and was more than a fifth below its peak within days. We didn't find a specific announcement behind MAGIC's move, and like most of these runs it has been built on volume from a very small starting base.
