Reserve Rights Traded 59 Times Its Usual Volume; Osmosis Rose 39%

RSR jumped 62% in a single fifteen-minute candle early on October 12 and closed up 32.2%, its highest close since January. Cosmos exchange token OSMO gained 38.7% on 25 times its average volume.

Two tokens that rarely make headlines had their busiest days in months on Monday, October 12.

Reserve Rights (RSR) is the governance and backstop token of the Reserve protocol, which issues asset-backed stablecoins. It had traded in a narrow $0.0015-$0.0018 range for weeks, often on less than $1 million a day. In the 04:45 UTC fifteen-minute candle, it jumped from $0.00166 to $0.00281, up 62%, on $4.1 million of volume, and touched $0.002999 half an hour later. It then faded through the day, closing at $0.0022, up 32.21%, on $36.3 million of volume — about 59 times its 30-day average and its highest close since January 28.

Osmosis (OSMO), the main decentralised exchange of the Cosmos ecosystem, took a steadier path. It jumped 23.7% in the 10:00 UTC hour, pulled back, then climbed again in the US afternoon and evening, closing at $0.0516, up 38.71%, on $7.2 million of volume, about 25 times its average. It was its highest close since June 7. Early on Tuesday it touched $0.056 before slipping back to about $0.050.

Both moves came on a day when bitcoin and ether fell more than 2%, and we found no specific announcement behind either. They fit the pattern of the past two weeks: money rotating rapidly between small, long-forgotten tokens while the majors drift.
