Gold Breaks Its Stabilization Range to the Upside

After more than a week spent holding roughly flat near its 50-day average, gold has pushed decisively higher — resuming the uptrend the earlier pullback had only paused.

Gold, which spent the past week and a half consolidating in a tight range near its 50-day moving average following its pullback from a five-week high, broke convincingly above that range this session — the first directional move in either direction since the consolidation began.

The move arrives alongside real yields resuming their decline after the brief pause that had coincided with gold's own stabilization — the same variable that drove both the original five-week rally and the subsequent pullback appears to be reasserting itself in gold's favor again.

A breakout that resumes an established prior trend, rather than reversing it, tends to carry more technical weight than a breakout out of nowhere — though testing that read against how the position would have actually performed, rather than assuming it, is exactly what Trade2Spike's charts are there for.
