Chainlink Sets a New 2026 High, 125% Above Its June Low

LINK rose 10.2% on Monday on its heaviest volume since November 2025 and touched $15.78 just after midnight UTC, the highest price it has reached this year.

Chainlink's LINK closed Monday, September 28, at $15.45, up 10.2% on the day. In the first hour of Tuesday (UTC) it went on to $15.777, its highest price of 2026 and above anything it reached during January's rally. Monday's close was also its highest since November 10, 2025.

It has been a long climb. LINK set its 2026 low of $6.996 on June 6, the day after the early-June crash, and is up about 125% since. The pace picked up in the second half of September: from $12.23 on September 18 it gained about 26% in ten sessions, closing higher on seven of them.

Monday brought the volume that had been missing. About $126 million of LINK traded on Binance, roughly three times its two-week average and the most since November 21, 2025. Most of the day's gain came in two bursts, four hours apart: +4.8% in the 12:00 UTC hour on $20 million of trading, and +5.8% in the 16:00 hour on $17 million.

What makes the move notable is the backdrop. On the same day, 49 of the 57 large coins we track fell, with a median decline of 4.7%. A coin that rises with everything else says little about itself; one that rises on heavy volume while almost everything else falls usually says that someone wants that coin specifically.

Tuesday's early trading was a reminder that relative strength doesn't make an asset immune. As the market kept slipping, LINK came back to about $14.80 by 06:00 UTC, some 6% below the new high.
