Avalanche's September: A 62% Spike, a Plateau, and a Rebound
AVAX ran from about $7.40 to $12 in three days mid-month, spent a week and a half consolidating, then jumped 7.7% on Tuesday. A recap of one of the month's larger round-trips.
Avalanche packed most of a quarter's worth of movement into September. The coin opened the month's second half near $7.40, then exploded: up 23% on September 19 and another 12% on September 20, reaching about $12 — a gain of roughly 62% in three sessions on volume that peaked above $150 million. Moves that vertical rarely hold their entire gain, and this one didn't.
What followed was less dramatic and more instructive. Rather than collapsing, AVAX spent the next week and a half consolidating in a band roughly between $10.20 and $11.40, digesting the spike instead of unwinding it. A pullback to $10.26 on September 23 held, and the coin kept closing inside the range. That kind of sideways digestion after a sharp advance is generally read as constructive: it lets late-arriving buyers and early profit-takers exchange positions without the price falling apart.
On Tuesday, September 29, AVAX added 7.7% to $11.44 on its heaviest volume in over a week, pushing back toward the top of that range even as much of the market fell. It closed the month a little below that, near $11.26. From the mid-month low the coin is up sharply; from the September 20 spike high it is still down. Which of those two numbers matters depends entirely on when a trader showed up — a reminder that the same asset can be a big winner and a modest loser at the same time, depending only on the starting point.
